The Council sets policies to guide daily council activity and to ensure coherence among the council's decisions.
 

Policies give clear guidance to staff, councillors and the community.

They reduce the likelihood of us making inconsistent decisions or raising false expectations.

Policies also give residents and ratepayers a clear insight into the reasons why certain decisions are made.
